Every now and again, I like to dive into general business and strategy books—the type you might read when you're first starting out or have a smaller company. I find that it's always valuable to learn from other experiences, ideas, and frameworks regardless of my phase of life; there’s always something new to take away.
Your Next Five Moves by Patrick Bet-David was a quick read with fantastic stories and dozens of frameworks on business strategy. It starts with the biggest question (what is your purpose?) and moves through every topic a leader could face, from decision-making to problem-solving to hiring.
If you read enough business strategy books, you'll see patterns and similarities (people rarely reinvent the wheel). I could tell what Bet-David had read, with ample uncited ideas I’d seen before. Bet-David's book is a recommended quickfire approach for anyone in a leadership role who feels driven to something greater.

Biggest Takeaway: The best strategy means nothing without a clearly defined (and communicated) purpose of why you're here in the first place.
